Are buses or mini buses allowed to park in a residential street?
-Depends on the street, depends on the size of the vehicle, depends on the local by laws.
You haven't even told us what country you're in, never mind what town.....unless prohibited by a sign then yes ( also as long as legally taxed and insured etc) where it causes parking issues then raise this with local council who can take steps to alter the situation but you will need at least a half dozen residents to complain.
It is unlikely a full size bus would park in a residential street unless the street was part of the route or the actual terminus
yes, as long as they are not causing any obstruction there is no law against it
Check if the vehicle is displaying a current tax disc
It depends on the municipality. You'll have to contact town hall and ask.

-DHL, TNT, UPS ? which one delivers the quickest and in how many days?Do you have fedex? They're the best document service. Days? Depends on how you send it/how much you want to pay. If you don't care about cost you could have it there in under 2 days.

Why do girls always like to put there feet up on the dashboard?
-I just love this sight. I love to see beautiful girls being comfortable on the highway!Because its more comfortable than with your feet on the floor. Try it. Sit in the other seat and put your feet up then you will understand why we do it. xI'm a beautiful girl, and I am comfortable on the highway with my feet in the correct spot.

"I apperently undertook an off duty police officer"?
-I was travelling along the A27 west bound towards worthing. In which i was behind an off-duty police officer going at 50 mph in a 70 mph zone, i saw the traffic in the left hand-lane was moving faster that that off the right, therefore with full due care and attention i pulled into the left hand lane and with the flow of the traffic and "undertook" this off duty police officer, i gain a 10m distance between me and the police officer travelling at 60 mph, the van who i was now behind started to signal left to go into a small track that lie off the side of the dual carriageway, therefore with full due car and attention again i signalled right and moved into the right hand lane, further on i moved into the left hand lane to turn left, so i checked my left mirror and also my right, as i was checking my right mirror i notice the off-duty police officer was side by side my car waving his police badge around shouting "I saw you", "I saw you", if this goes to a court i really don't want to lose my licence already as being 17Surely your driving instructor told you that you overtake on the right. You will have to explain your "full due care and attention" to the judge.
Assuming you're in a country like me where you drive on the right and pass on the left, I don't see you having done anything wrong.
How do you know the badge was real, and unless he gave you a summons, don't worry about it.
Unless he had blues and twos going, he can't do squat.
That was just a mall cop trying to play big boy. Blow it off.
if he didnt pull you over and give you a ticket you will not be done.

Why do people pile up behind me, ride my bumper, angrily pass/cut me off for going the speed limit?
-Seriously, this happens every day. I will be going the speedlimit, actually probably 1-3 miles over the speed limit, and people ride right up on my bumper, or pass me and cut me off. Or if I need to get over a lane, they don't want to let me in, but when I have to force myself in anyway, they jump out of the lane and speed to pass me and cut me off.
No joke, this is just about every day this type of stuff happens?
I go the speed limit, and people get mad at me. Go figure. To be honest most people these days are all in a hurry. Nowadays nobody drives the speed limit unless there is some type of an emergency. I am not trying to make you feel bad, but in reality everyone is in a hurry and nobody wants to drive behind someone who does the speed limit. Most of the time they expect you to move over to the other lane and if you don't budge that's when they ride bumper or flash lights at you or even cut off rudely.
what lane are you in-if you are in the far right lane then do not worry about it-let them pass you. If you are in the left (passing) lane then move over to the right. The rule is keep right pass left. (very few drivers do that)
If you are staying in the left lane and do not move over to the right you know you can get a ticket for impeding traffic.
If this happens everyday, you have a driving problem. Until you admit you have a problem you will continue cause troubles to others. If you want to be *safe* you need to learn to drive correctly, meaning the same as others.
Because they obviously don't care about the speed limit and want to go faster than you.
u must live in my city nobody does speed limit and they drive like idiots no respect at all
It's everywhere. Seems like everyone's in a hurry.....to end up behind the next car/truck/wide load/RV/tractor-trailer, because that's what always happens.
That's why I set my cruise to whatever speed limit, sit in the right lane, and let everyone else zoom around/past me, usually in packs.
Now I've got a nice cushion of space between them, myself and the next pack of cars behind me. When they catch up to me, same thing happens: they zoom past me, I get a cushion of space.
My "motto" is: "The Less Cars Around Me, The Less Chance Of An Accident."
Some drivers are rude. They don't mind not letting you switch lanes, but when it's done to them, they don't like it. They "retaliate" by acting like schoolyard kids.
Nothing wrong with doing the speed limit. Just ignore anyone who rides your bumper. Heaven forbid you hit your brakes, for whatever reason-guess who's insurance goes up?
As for someone cutting you off-whenever that happens to me, when it's safe to do so, and first chance I get, I switch lanes from behind them. When they play games like that, I don't want them in front of me.

Nervous about CAC public transit.?
-I have to take government funded mini bus transit to my doctors appointments from now on and I'm really nervous. They'll be here in 30 minutes or so. What could calm me down? (I've already taken Xanax). I just need some words of wisdom. You will be fine.....We all go thru times like these! What is there to be nervous about? People ride the buses every day.
How many mph are you going if you travel 40 miles in 30 minutes?
-question says it allCan you see 40 miles? There really is no concept of what 40 miles looks like. It is just a distance. So translate the speed into another aspect. 40 miles in 30 mins comes out to 80 mph. Or put another way: 80 x 5280 (ft in mile) = 422,400 feet/hr; divided by 60 (minutes) = 7040 (ft/min) divided by 60 (seconds) = 117.3 feet/second. And that you can see. In other words, you will travel the length of a football field (300 ft) in 2.56 seconds.
I asked my niece in fourth grade.
Her answer is 80 mph.
Convert 30 minutes to hours. 60/30 = .5 hours.
2*.5 = 1 hour
2*40 miles = 80 miles
Since I gave you the answer to your homework assignment, what have you learned? Very little.
Sad
my 4th grader says 80mph since in 60 min youd go 80 miles

Would i get in trouble for this?
-Now my girlfriend is 17 and im 19 she is about to turn 18 but she still has her permit bc her parents wont let her get it bc shes not ready. But shes not allowed to drive their new car and she cant drive her dads truck bc its to big for her. So i have been letting her drive my car but in the rare instance we get pulled over would i get in trouble bc im not 21. I mean the cops here are not the ones to write tickets for minor things but i was just wondering. As you know the cops can write the both of you up but they probably would not unless there is another violation AND they check your id. I would say that they would not bother writing you up unless the officer is short this month on his quota, which they supposedly do not have and nobody believes it. As a tip, at least try to look older if stopped. zYes you'll get in trouble. And her permit period (5 months to 1 year depending on State and in some states like NJ there are 3 steps to getting a full license that takes a year and a half) will be reset and she'll have to wait that much longer. She should find a licensed person age 21 or over and practice as much as she can with that person if her birthday is too far away.
P.S. Don't say her parents won't let her. If she's not ready it's her own fault not theirs. If you meant they don't think she's ready but she actually is, just drive her around 'till she's 18 and then she won't need her parents to get it. She is, after all, your girlfriend.
Yes, you would get into trouble. She should only be driving with an individual 21 and over or a legal guardian. Also, what would you do if she "knock on wood" got into a car accident your insurance would not cover her and her insurance is probably only for her parents vehicles, you're putting your relationship in jeopardy and should think before you continue allowing her to drive your car!

An inspector took my card but not my adress ?
-im 14 years old and when i gave the inspector my oyster card he said it was invalid. (when i got home i later realised i had given him my old one ) anyway he took the card and asked for my address but i got scared and panicked and ran away. looking back its foolish but what do you think they are going to do? am i gonna get fined or will the card be cancelled? or both. please help !!What is an oyster card? And if it was expired, you shouldn't need it. Get a new one. What the inspector was doing was let you know that in the future that you had better have a valid card or be fined. Licenses are required to make sure people stay honest in regards to wildlife and to help pay for the creatures protection.
If you're 14 years old, the Oyster that the inspector took off you would have been an 11-15 discount Oyster - which would be registered with your name and address.
If you haven't heard from them by now, you won't - a quick check would tell them that you have a new and valid Oyster.
Why would you run away? The card will simply be canceled
Are you worried about fraud? It's a simple mistake that anyone can make.

Any tips for staying in the middle or your lane while driving?
-i am 16 and learning to drive. i have a lot down, but i know i have much to learn. One issue i have to confront is the problem that i veer to the right when i drive probably because i am right handed and write a lot. It is not intentional, but its constant and needless to say, dangerous. SO any useful tips of how to stay in the middle of the lane would be very much appreciated. You should understand the mechanics of steering. All roads are not perfectly flat, when on slanted roads the car wants to turn and you have to turn the steering wheel in the opposite direction. The steering wheel is not like a video game where the car only goes in the direction the steering wheel indicates. This means when the car is trying to veer off to one side the steering wheel needs to be turned where it visually looks like you should be turning very slightly but instead you are going straight ahead.
Being right or left handed is not relevant. You have better control than that over your body.
You need to look where you want to do and that is where you will go. You need to look as far down the road as possible. Wandering is caused by not looking far enough down the road. while you may have to keep some pressure on the wheel on some roads that is just what you have to do.
Perfecting this comes with practice.
If you are veering to the right when you drive it means you are a "hugger." In other words, you are hugging the curb, which is fine. If you are veering to the left (I.E. near the center paint) it means you are a drifter. Staying to the right of your lane is perfectly fine and not dangerous. Staying in the center is just something that will come to you in time (only after a year or two of driving).
Sounds like you need to check you alignment. If it's fine then get used to it. All roads have a crown so water goes to the edges, this causes cars to drift to the right. Just pay attention and don't drive like an idiot. :-)
You'll get the hang of it with experience. Try and focus on the lines on the side of the road and that will be a guide.
Having proper alignment on the car helps

Which route uses the most fuel?
-Car: Peugeot 206 Diesel.
Route 1 is 13.2 miles, usually takes 45-60 minutes in stop start traffic through Birmingham from Quinton to Solihull.
Route 2 is 27.2 miles, usually takes 35 mins on the M42 again from Quinton to Solihull.
My question is, which one will use more Diesel - obviously the motorway route is twice as far, but as I'm constantly moving at a good speed does this mean I'll be using less/same/more fuel than spending more time in the car moving between gears stopping and starting.
Time wise the motorway is quicker and less stressful but if it works out a lot more expensive in fuel then maybe I will pick and choose depending on how much of a rush I am in to get home!
If anyone could shed some light on this it would be a huge help.
Thank you.Route 1 will use more fuel.

How to get to Los Angeles from Santa Clarita using commute?
-I don't have a car and neither do my friends but we want to go to LA to hang out, and I was wondering if anyone knows how to get there from Santa Clarita by commute? (i.e. buses, trains, etc...) Taxis is a no no for us since we're kinda limited in money and cab fare seems so expensive considering how far LA is from SCV. The part in LA that we want to go is downtown, preferably Korea Town. Also there is this concert that we want to go to in Hollywood Bowl and anyone knows how to commute there too?Yes. Use Google Maps and use the Public Transit Filter.

Will my compass card work if I don't register it?
-Hi I just bought a compass bus pass card and I was wondering if I have to register for it to work? I don't feel comfortable putting my billing information, especially if I don't have to. So can I get on the bus without registering? I don't have it fail and have to get off the bus. Awkward :/Sure.
Traffic Question: Making U-Turns?
-I was taught in driving school that U-turns are LEGAL except under certain circumstances;
such as:
-there's a sign prohibiting u-turns
-freeway
-intersection
ok....I was driving on a regular main road.....I made a U-turn, and got a ticket.
I called the police department and they told me it is illegal to make a U-turn on that road.
So there are certain roads where it is illegal to make a u-turn, and I'm supposed to magically know which roads they are???
or is it certain cities that ban U-turns anywhere in town?
The cop who ticketed me said it wasn't so much WHERE I made the U-turn.....but; U-turns are always illegal.
Are there certain cities that just ban U-turns?
This is in Lyndhurst, Ohio.Looks like they prohibit U-turns in business districts, in addition to the state's prohibited areas (hills, curves, etc).
432.11 "U" TURNS RESTRICTED.
...
(d) Except as provided in division (b) of this section, no vehicle shall be turned so as to proceed in the opposite direction within an intersection, or upon any street in a business district, or upon a freeway, expressway or controlled-access highway, or where authorized signs are erected to prohibit such movement, or at any other location unless such movement can be made with reasonable safety to other users of the public way and without interfering with the safe operation of any traffic that may be affected by such movement.what was the speed limit on the road?

Americans: Would you trust yourself to drive a car in Britain?
-You know, where traffic flow is opposite (left as opposed to right)
Or, if you're a Brit (or someone who drives on the left) would you trust yourself to drive in the US?It's actually much easier to drive int he US than in Britain as British roads tend to be narrower and to have more dense traffic. British roads also merge with each other more often. So a British person would find it easy to drive in the US (Many British drive on the opposite side of the road when in France or places such as that).
In contrast, Americans who are used to driving on wide suburban roads and straight freeways will find it more difficult to drive in Britain. Britain has these nasty roundabouts. Some of them have four lanes of traffic that are constantly merging or passing through each other. They can be quite scary at times.
I had no problem driving in Britain, the one common thing no matter which side of the road is driven on is that the driver is always closest to the center of the road.
If you want to try something hard, try driving a British car in the US.
The side of the road you drive on is not a big deal. You can adjust easily. It's harder to adjust to the customs, like passing, signaling, roundabouts, etc.
I would need time on empty roads to get used to it.
Yup Meilin has it in one.

Is it worth to spend 30 bucks on Garmin lane assist?
-No. Also worthless is the 3D building view and built in FM traffic receiver, which are all on my 765T. Purchase the least expensive Garmin and get a new one every two to three years. Cheaper than constantly upgrading maps.No. Also worthless is the 3D building view and built in FM traffic receiver, which are all on my 765T. Who do you contact when you want your streets fixed up?
-is it a county supervisor a mayor or what? You could try your state dot. ( department of transportation ) they are in charge of all road projects for the state you live that are not federally funded.
The council I think, but I don't think its upto you its when and if they decide to do it.

Road Salt versus Cat Litter`?
-Which is better if your car is stuck in snow/icey roads?Cat litter is clay -- on the road would be crushed into a wet slimy goo that would slip really good.
Www. who can afford to drive on new rd's. at 3dollars a gallon?
-Only in the US would someone complain about paying 3 dollars for a gallon of gas. In Canada we pay $1.10-1.25 per litre - you can do the math.I did a road trip from LA to Pittsburgh in 2008 at $4.80 a gallon and I did not care about the price of gas. We spent as much on motel rooms each night.
But we did drive a car that got 35 MPG. A 2005 Chevy Cavalier.

Has the tram crash on coronation street effected the expansion of the metrolink in anyway?
-You're obviously someone who believe that TV soaps are real life.
The people in them are actors - actors play a role speaking words that have been written by a scriptwriter. The action is make believe and uses special effects so as not to harm or injure the actors.
The plane crash in Emmerdale did not stop people flying because sensible people realized it was just a storyline in a soap and nothing was actually real

Do you take your City Transit?
-So who has met the nicest bus driver ever? I have. He gives me free bus rides and transfers. I am his favourite passenger.
I always here negative things about City Bus Drivers but they are all so nice to me and I have never had a angry bus driver.
So who has met a really cute, flirty bus driver?? Are you a bus groupie? (the person who stands in front of the bus and yaks to the bus driver all the way to your stop?
If only I had the nerve to give him my number!
I have a hard time deciding if he just SUPER nice or flirty.
Who knows and maybe who cares?I just want to point out, your super nice bus driver can lose his job over giving free rides, it's unfair to other passengers. I saw an argument break out on the NYC bus over something like that, someone complaining "why does she get a free ride when you threatened to kick me off if I didn't come up with change to pay my fare?"
I hope you realize that your "nicest" bus driver could lose his job over giving unauthorized free rides, just as the same as a store cashier could be fired for passing an item to a friend without payment

If there was a oil leak in your vehicle and you had the a/c and the heat on, would it decrease your fuel?
-When there is the a/c and heat on, does that decrease the fuel faster when both are on???when your AC is on it causes the engine to run at a higher RPM thus causing you to use more fuel. so if you want to conserve gas dont use the AC. if you want your engine to run beter and for a longer time....fix the oil leakOnly if the people that invested there money in oil stocks conclude helping to drive up fuel prices.
They put a lot of businesses out business in the past 11 years !.. (( "Interesting isn't it ? )) Compulsive behavior addictions to domestic fuel price manipulation , get rich scams !... "The Wine smells like somebodies mothers feet ???
Uh. Yes. The oil leak has nothing to do with that really...

How much does an average segway cost?
-There has been no study to determine the average price paid by buyers for a Segway,
That would be -
Total paid by a representative sample of buyers divided by the number of buyers in the sample.
They cost around 拢5000 and have just been made illegal to use in the UK on pavements and roads so are only usable on private ground

How can i find a bus station or how much money to take a bus to Terre Haute, Indiana to Indio, California?

Any good hitchhiking websites?
-i'm looking for a way to arrange a ride to las vegas or Florida! Are either of these 2 places worth traveling to?
i have always lived in Indiana and would now like to get out and travel.
I've heard it's possible to arrange rides over the internet but i haven't found any.
Can anybody help me?
I'd LIKE TO start out by getting a simple job at first that pays good money if possible.craigslist is one way
you can advisement for riders but i think if you want to charge people you have to pay to list
since most ride sharing is free
you could also advertise in the local college/university newspapers

Is there public transportation from Carson, CA to the Greyhound bus station in downtown Los Angeles?
-yes it depends where you are stating in carson
like if you are at the Carson mall it or are you near the Del amo blue line station or are
neat the Carson library or are you neat the harbor-UCLA hospital?
so lets say you are at the Del amo blue station
you will take the blue line into los angeles, -last stop 7th metro
then go up stairs exit on 7th an hope cross street on 7th street catch either line 60 ,760 or 62 which will take you to the greyhound station
now did you know the blue lines two other greyhound depots?
Compton and long beach
also i highly advise you to avoid greyhound their service is not like it used e
plus the los angeles station is smack dab in the middle of skid row
that station is one of the most dangerous station in the greyhound system
if there is incident lapd sends 6 patrol cars for one incident
there are drugs and bums getting stabbed in front of the station
also no taxi will pick up there1
and we havent even talked about how rude customer service is or how crowded the buses are
i hope you find another transpiration method, like Amtrak

Why do people drive on the shoulders of roads?
-like on the highway there are the exit ramps and in between them there is a triangle shape with solid white lines and why do people drive on them to rave other people to get ahead ? is it illegal? and what should i do? lay on the horn? they cut in front of me?It's wrong.
Should we do anything about it? Not really.
People make mistakes and some people regularly drive dangerously and break rules. The latter group will all get caught eventually, your job is just to stay out of their way in the meantime.well in some areas you are allowed to use the shoulder
since you do not state which highway you mean
now in other cases it is illegal
and the triangle with white line -i think means narrow lanes not that you cant use the shoulder
too bad you didn't put up a image of it
You seem to be an amateur or make believe traffic cop if you feel the need to intervene in any traffic illegality you witness
stop worrying about what other people do on the highways/you drive yours and let them drive theirs/they are ticket bait

How many kinds of bus pass are there in LA?
-I heard in LA, they have like CTA pass, you can use on CTA buses. I also heard there are MTA buses and municipal buses. You can use Metro Subway daypass on MTA buses and a few municipal buses. Does it mean CTA pass doesn't work for MTA buses. In spite of the few municipal buses that you can use MTA pass, you need to get a different pass for other municipal buses. Is that right? How many kinds of bus passes are there in LA? Do you need to take 3 or 4 bus passes with you to travel around LA? Thank you.
Mississauga transit bus routes to college?
-k so heres the thing, im starting college soon and i need to decide where to go, since the programs are generally the same( general arts and science, seneca is Liberal arts) i need to decide where to go. since it probably dosnt matter where i go because after a year i apply to uni i was wondering if there the buss passes would cost just as much, and i need to know how i would get there
here are my options, i live in mississauga, britania and tenth line.
sheirdan(oakville)
humber(lakeshore)
seneca@york
how would i get to these schools? and would one cost more then the other? if so how much. im trying to pick the school with the best education but if its alot of money to commute then i might have to rethink my decision, i want to go to schools in te gta because i think i will get a better education but i think it will cost more. any suggestions? i dont mind long commute(under 2hrs) i can use it to study.usually bus pass is good for the entire system and sometimes
you can buy them from the college
so the pass would be same for college no mater where you go to college
you can also contact the tranist agency for more information

What would you think of someone driving this car?
Does listening to music while driving waste gas?
-It can reduce gas mileage a little bit if the car has to burn more gas to power the CD player (or whatever) in the same way that running the air conditioner reduces gas mileage. I would think that the reduction in efficiency that would come with listening to music would be pretty minimal, though.No. Radio uses only a little electricity from the alternator, not gasoline.
No it doesnt. I am pretty sure it uses the battery which doesnt use gas.
no
No. It takes power from your car battery.
No I don't think so!!<3

Do I get a red light camera ticket for lane change to make right turn?
-So the street I was on has 3 lanes total (1 turn left, 1 going straight, 1 turn right). I was on the middle lane and it was red. I made a full stop and also left a little gap between the white lines in front of me and my car so I can change lane to make a right turn. It was green arrow right turn so I drove up a little bit and changed lane and made the right turn. Do I get a ticket for running a red light?
Is it bad to drive over the speed limit?
-Its bad to drive Excessively over the speed limit. Driving a little faster is not bad, depending on weather conditionsHeck no, its actually quite a lot of fun just as long as the cops don鈥檛 give you a ticket or you don鈥檛 get into some horrible accident that causes lots of damage or gets you killed.
When I was younger I wanted to buy a Porsche and floor the pedal-to-the-metal and fly as fast as it could. A few yeas later I watched a video where a specialist was driving a high performance Porsche trying to break some speed record. His rear tire blew out, then he flipped end over end and they found his body in 5 separate pieces. OUCH !!!
Anyways, after seeing that I quickly realized that speeding can really ruin my day !
The biggest problem is speeding tickets and how much damage those tickets will do to your insurance payments each year ! Cops will generally give you a ticket for doing 10 MPH over the limit, so my advice to you is use your car鈥檚 cruise control to set your speed to no more than 5 MPH over the limit.
If you are in a 50 mph zone, then set the cruise control to 55 and that鈥檚 the end of your worries. Yes, this is a dull and boring way to live, but you will save a heck of a lot of money over the years from lower insurance costs.
Question - Why is this speed limit set for this road? I mean - it is 45 now, why can't it be for 65 or 70 even 80?
Answer - One is the location, in a populated area like a business district, school zone, residential...lots of people around. And everybody knows that pedestrians are totally unpredictable.
The other reason is the road itself. The design (no. of lanes), construction and lay of the land all dictate what the speed limit should be on any stretch of road as approved by the local authority.
So even though your vehicle has a top speed on the speedometer of 100+ mph, it is us as the drivers who have to look and evaluate all the conditions and circumstances to determine whether or not the risks outweigh the benefits of exceeding the speed limit.
All the best.
yeah but it feels so so good!IF YOUVE NEVER BEEN SCARED,EVEN JUST A LITTLE,YOU AINT GOING FAST AS YOU CAN!!!
if you're going too fast you won't have enough time to react and it will also take you longer to brake.
That's what the man with the radar gun and my insurance guy tell me........

Could LI DAR pick-up an incorrect speed if used through traffic passing in front of them?
-I was given a citation for speeding in my personal vehicle, for 15 miles over the speed limit. I have a CDL and the highway patrol officer used this device through tightly packed traffic in front of him, and supposedly caught me coming under a bridge towards him. I was going 8 miles over the speed limit, but how do I approach the judge about my company will fire me if I have a speeding ticket for going 10 miles over the limit? The officer stated, and wrote on the ticket, that i was going 15 miles over the limit, and that he believed that 15 over the speed limit will be an enhancement, I do not even know what that is. Any advice as to asking for leniency, or lowering the actual miles over? Please help.. I don't know what to do, or even how I would fight this. I will be homeless if I lose my job. I live in California if that helps?
Why does road rage stink so bad?
-Let's face it, everyone who drives experiences this modern way of coping with arrogant, rude, and bullying drivers. I like to speed up when people are trying to pass me. It just seems that no matter where I drive these days, there's a Dale Earnhart wannabee withing a 3 cars of me. So when he/she (usually she) tries passing me, I hit the gas pedal in my BMW so that they cannot get buy. This technique really seems to frustrate these speedy types ... what I wanna know is, what do you all do so I can have more tricks up my sleeve. Has anyone ever experienced road rage? What bothers you about other crazy driversRoad rage would be ok if it only affected you, but sadly, you are jeopardizing your life and the lives of others. It's better to just let them in. What if the person is committed to changing lanes and doesn't see you? you could get side swiped and shoved into the other lane or worse a lamp pole or rail or something. On the road, it's always the other drivers that you should be concerned with.
You actually seem to be the person with road rage/bmw douche. Maybe you should just let them pass so you don't have to deal with them riding your ***?

What kinda gas mileage will i be getting if i put a euro muffler on my 93 honda lx two door?

which will take to the college

What would be some reasons Buses/ Trains/ Transit would use automated announcements?
-what are the benefits?as per the American disabilty act all drivers are required to call out bus stops
now since many drivver dont or cant
they use automatic voice announcements
So they are all the same and nothing gets left out on accident

Are average speed cameras necessary?
-For example, i feel its ok to go faster if a stretch of the motorway is empty or with a few vehicles on. But if there are average speed cameras they will not take this into account, and may get a speeding ticket, and it seems unfair. Im all for safety on the roads but if the motorway is empty or nearly empty then surely there is less risk by going on the average speed limit by a few miles per hour.
What say you? There appears to be a lot of confusion because right now average speed cameras are only used in roadworks. In such cases exceeding the speed limit is stupid and selfish (I admit there will always be times when the speed limit is unnecessary as it's about to be removed, but in such cases the cameras will almost always be turned off).
Your question suggests that you're talking about average speed checks being performed on most motorways as a standard. This doesn't happen (the permanent cameras on the M1, M25 and the M42 only do spot-checks). Despite the scaremongering you might see in newspapers and motoring enthusiast groups, there are currently no plans, resources or money to introduce nationwide average speed checks.
Come to think of it, there are very few average speed cameras permanently mounted on major roads at all. One of them is on a very busy road (A14) which benefits from people all travelling at the same speed, and another was a knee-jerk reaction to shut up whinging locals.
The only thing you might see is more static speed cameras on motorways with the roll-out of hard shoulder running and variable speed limits as a watered-down way of improving roads.Your speed in this is only being used for the Police to have better surveillance. All this crap about safety and accidents, boils down to the Green Party (who are Communists by any other name) backing a campaign the Police will thoroughly support. The Police want it because it makes their life eay for catching criminals, and any one not remembering to have their car MOT'd. Or arrested because they sold there car to a criminal, who still has it in your name, so that you carry the can?
The Greens back it because it supposedly save lives, of course nothing saves lives (we all die) it only extends your life living in misery having to worry about something one shouldn't be worrying about. But the Greens are miserable so they want you to be miserable, and take your freedom away in the same breath.
There is a speed limit. If you break it you are breaking the law and will pay the penalty howsoever the speeding is detected. If you want to campaign for different speed limits or variable ones then find a different forum. The average cameras were introduced because some people knew where the fixed ones are and drove at high speed at all other locations. I'm quite happy with current speed limits and I do drive close to them, not being a total crumbly, what I am not happy with is some boy racer 10 feet off my rear bumper and just itching to go. Where, I have no idea and also not sure why the hurry. Plan the journey and build in traffic problems. If you are late, you are late. When I was much younger I loved to drive quickly but it didn't take me long to realise this was not safe on public roads. So I took up motor cycle racing. That wasn't too safe either but at least it wasn't other peoples lives that I was playing with...........
You think it is unfair that you go over the speed limit, that you know full well about, and get nicked for it.
Well you can go a few mph over in a 50 they usually wont nick you at up to 56 and in a 70 they wont bother you up to 78.
You clearly have no arguement except that for some strange reason you think it is unfair - I reckon you must be a teenager or act like one.
The Green Party are not communists. Speed Cameras are necessary because otherwise people break the speed limit. In an emergency the faster you are travelling, the longer it will take you to stop, and the greater the damage done when you hit another car. How would you feel if someone you love was killed or injured in an accident caused or made worse by a speeding car?
No it not ok to go over the speed limit-speed-get a speeding ticket. If there is lots of traffic it is kinda hard to speed unless you jump from one lane to another. I got a camera speeding ticket in Maryland-yes I was speeding so I paid the ticket of $40.00.
So what would you do if you were tootling along at 140mph and you suddenly come upon a serious accident blocking most of the carriageway - and because of your speed, you are unable to stop in time. Boom, you're dead.
Basically, what you are saying is that you think it should be OK for you to break the law, if that's what you want to do.
Amazingly, you're wrong...
In my opinion NO.
Its just another way to make money for the govermant.
Money that wont be spent on sorting the destroyed roads or anything like that.
NO they are not necessary.
the point of the camera is to hold things in check all it takes is just one unsafe driver to tie up the system
It is Just another money making SCAM.
The way I see it, there are two separate issues here. The first is the law, and the second is safe driving. They are made to look like one and the same so that The Powers That Be have an excuse to fine people and generate yet more revenue. Nothing is looked at on an individual basis and that's the problem. For instance, if someone is doing 49mph in a 50mph zone but driving carelessly and not paying attention, they are far more likely to kill someone or cause an accident than someone who is doing 80mph on a clear stretch of motorway. This is not always considered by law enforcement officials, who have targets to meet, and the cameras themselves certainly cannot discriminate.
If the police use their initiative (and I'm not suggesting that none of them do), they will focus on the people who are genuinely endangering the lives of others, and not worry about pulling over someone for eating an apple on their way to work. This robotic mindset means that they follow the rulebook rigidly and can no longer think for themselves (again, I'm not including all police in this, just those who view their job this way).
As for average speed check cameras, these are there to keep us all in line, living in fear, feeling that even when we think we're not being watched, we are. Britain has more surveillance than any other nation (according to studies and statistics) and yet is it the safest? No. People are becoming increasingly fed up with be spied upon when they are doing nothing wrong, while criminals walk free.
Quite apart from all that, if safety were the real reason behind all these cameras, the money generated from penalties (not to mention road tax) would be spent on making the road surfaces safe instead of the pothole-riddled death traps that they have now become.
What say you? There appears to be a lot of confusion because right now average speed cameras are only used in roadworks. Fast track Question! please answer!?
-So I was going to Long Beach from San Diego. I accidentally took a toll road... I have never taken one of these before - but this time I had no choice. I read the signs "Fast track" (<-- or something of that nature) and another sign saying toll booth with a big sign under it saying CASH ONLY. I had no cash on me, so I decided to take the fast track route. I just got home, and wanted to know what Fast Track was, and how will they charge me? If I was wrong in taking this route, please inform me of a way to pay the toll... or pay the ticket before I even receive it(If I get a ticket for this...). Thanks in advance.

What causes traffic on the freeway?
-When a road is running at or near its full capacity, there will be a long line of cars close together. If someone brakes - it could be because someone else changed lane, there could be something in the road or the driver could just be correcting a slight error of theirs - the car behind will have to brake slightly harder (if he doesn't, he'll crash). The person behind him will have to brake a little harder too, and it keeps going on until eventually people are braking so hard that they're stationary for increasing amounts of time, and that's how your queue forms. It'll keep getting worse until eventually there is no car following behind, which on a busy road could take hours.
That is the cause of almost all traffic jams, as anything you can imagine (an accident, a busy merge) causes people to brake. The only other cause is when more people are trying to use a road at the same time than it can handle, for example if a lane was closed for roadworks or if the road was just sub-standard. This is quite similar because the queue forms as people have to slow down to filter in effectively.Lotsa people going different directions at the same time. Also lousy traffic light timing makes congestion worse.
About once a month I will catch green lights all the way home or to work. Every other time I might catch 1 green light. Some days I can't catch a green light to save my...
People driving cars there. Just think, if everyone stayed off the freeway, there wouldn't be any traffic. DUH!

Who should turn first?
-I recently came to a stop sign where there was a right turn only. I signaled and was about to make the appropriate turn in my car. A motorcycle then appears to my right following my stop (there is no other right turn lane) and as I make my turn, he decides to turn as I do, right beside me. In a situation like this, which driver should turn first?Motorcycles normally go first because they are small machines with much faster acceleration than a car. Experienced drivers tend to expect the motorcycle to go first
Usually the vehicle that arrives first has priority.

Im driving from boston to dallas, its 1,813 miles, anyone wanna do the math?
-so its 1,813 miles, im taking a uhaul with a hitch for my blazer. the tuck gets
7 miles to the gallon. ( which is ridiculous!!!!!!!!!!)
and gas is about $3 a gallon
how much will it cost me for this trip?????
thanx im sucking at this big time lol :~(Hi:
I think it more like 15 to 20 mph but I say fifteen but since you say it 7, So we go with that
1813/7 = 259 gallon for the whole trip there
and 259 * 3 = 777 dollar
but the realistic idea
1813 /15 = 120 gallon
120 * 3 = 360 dollar in gas
Also remember you hauling a U haul trailer and it what draging the miles down out of the truck as well as the road stop and starting
as for sucking at math, Don't worry, a lot a people are like that, that why they made this website to help people like you out.
I hope this helpsDont count on 7 mpg, it can vary due to weather and traffic. Biggest factor is how you drive it. Have you checked with the other rental companies for a comparable price on like equipment? Diesel may be more expensive, but pay for itself in mileage.
Driving tips. Keep speed under 60, the point at which wind resistance really starts playing a part. No idling, turn the thing off each time you stop. Accelerate slowly, the harder you punch it, the harder it drinks. It is OK to lose speed uphill, don't punch it to keep up with traffic in left lane.
Gas -- use your current prices in Boston, usually higher there due to your taxes. Still, we are barely under $3 here in Texas, and it will be high in between. Check the truck stop sites to locate best prices. Don't bother with a trucker's calculator, you don't file IFTA. The cash price is what you pay. WalMart gas can be cheaper if you have a store card, 3cpg savings. See if your local store has an atlas with store locations in the back.
Route. I got 1764, but you may wish to make other stops along the way. Your 1813 may include the options of staying out of NYC and off the heavy traffic on I-81. Makes good sense!
777 is about right, however if that is the 26' U-Haul truck, I don't think it does that good. I'd go with about 5 miles per gallon instead. If your really close on money you would need to figure in extra money in case you get a truck that doesn't do as good. I believe you had another question and I stated to contact Budget Truck Rental & Penske Truck Rental. There larger trucks are diesel and they get 7-9 miles per gallon.
Kat has the right idea, and is reminding you that you are probably computing the trailer at empty weight. Also, gas is more than $3/gallon, in many areas is more than $3.19. A more realistic expense is in excess of $800 for gasoline.
$777
BUT more the truck weighs, the worse your gas mileage get
777 dollars
1813 mi / 7 mil/gal gives you how many gallons you will spend.
259 x 7 is 777 dollars.

How old do you have to be to ride the SCTD bus?
-I was just wondering how old you have to be to ride the SCTD bus, Cause i cannot drive and i have to get to a certain place, I live in Molalla Oregon by the wayy
If gas is $3.80 a gallon, and a car gets 30 mpg, how much money will it take to go 1130 miles?
-im trying to figure out how much money its going to take me to get from sandiego ca, to casper wyoming!! help lol!! thankyou!same formula as for your other question, this time I got 38 gallons (rounded),
$144.40, and again higher speeds and bad winds will use more gas. Same precautions as before, but this trip is about 18 hours, so also plan on a room near the halfway point. Safety first.
1130 divided by 30, times $3.80
$144 bucks one way...but the price of gasoline isn't stable across the country. It will actually be cheaper per gallon through a lot of those states so it will end up costing closer to $125.

Is it illegal to drive the speed limit in the left lane on the freeway in WI?
-I know in some states it is illegal to driving in the left lane when not passing. Although I cant seem to find anything in WI law that says it is illegal to drive the speed limit. I know slower traffic must keep right but Isn't the speed limit the speed limit? If driving in the left lane at the speed limit (or over) and someones right on your bumper are you required to move out of their way? It would seem that the person behind you would get pulled over for tailgating or following too closely. I just want to settle an argument between a few people and myself. There seems to be a lot of opinions on the matter but i cant find anything in the law books about this.It is illegal to drive above the speed limit, period. (Although there are exceptions for emergency situations and such.) In some places, the leftmost lane is only for passing, and in others it is a normal lane that can be used by traffic. But in either case, the speed limit is the speed limit. You are never required to move out of the way to let someone through.
It became a legal issue in Arizona about 30 years ago. A Highway Patrol officer with his lights on was being impeded by a driver traveling the speed limit in the left lane of the freeway. As the incident unfolded it went to the courts which decided that regardless of the posted speed limit it was required for slower traffic keep right (which was already a law).
Look up "Impeding Traffic", and stay out of the left-hand lane unless you're passing.
Unless you're impeding an emergency vehicle closing on you (with lights flashing), you refuse to get over for a police officer or road worker stationed on the left shoulder, or if road conditions make it dangerous to drive 65mph in a 65mph zone, you wouldn't have to worry about it...
The impeding traffic law applies to motorists driving at such a slow speed as to impede the normal and reasonable flow of traffic. Traffic can't "reasonably" drive over the speed limit by definition because breaking the speed limit is illegal and therefore not "reasonable". I seriously doubt any court in Wisconsin or anywhere else is going to consider a driver driving 65mph in a 65mph zone as driving "at such a slow speed to impede the normal and reasonable flow of traffic".
Can a grumpy officer stuck in a long line of traffic behind you write you a ticket for driving 65mph in a 65mph zone while "impeding traffic"? Sure he or she can. Receiving a ticket doesn't automatically mean you're guilty of a crime though. The court system ultimately determines guilt or innocence, not the police. Unless you (stupidly) plead guilty by paying the fine listed on the ticket to avoid having to go to court etc., you would get your day in court to force the court to find you guilty of somehow impeding normal traffic by driving the maximum speed allowed by law.
It might be inconsiderate and extremely annoying to other drivers who want to drive faster than the posted speed limit, but it is it illegal? I doubt a court would find you guilty if it came to that.
Yes it is. Here is the link about Wisconsin's speed laws on a divided highway. The section you're talking about says:
http://www.nhtsa.gov/people/injury/enfor鈥?/a>
I. No person shall drive a motor vehicle at a speed so slow as to impede the normal and reasonable movement of traffic. '346.59(1)
II. A person, driving at less than the normal speed of traffic, shall drive in the right-hand lane then available for traffic or as close as practicable to the right-hand curb or edge of the roadway. '346.05(3)
And to answer your question about the "speed limit"...yes, the states have set speed limits for highway safety. However, it is up to the police agencies in any state to enforce those speed limits, and decide what is a "reasonable" speed to travel, not you! There was a guy in our state who decided he was tired of all the "speeders" passing him. He moved to the left lane and got beside an 18 wheeler and proceeded to block the vehicles behind his car. This went on for several miles. The 18 wheeler sped up so people could get around this guy on the right. He sped up also. Well, it just so happened that the guy two cars back was an off duty sheriff! he radioed for a highway trooper for assistance. Several miles down the road, the trooper showed up and got behind the car impeding the flow of traffic. The off duty sheriff pulled off with the trooper and explained what he had witnessed. The guy was issued a citation for about $225 for "Impeding" traffic flow, and here's the kicker...he was also fined $500 for "Reckless Operation" for the accident he could have caused by running beside the 18 wheeler and forcing motorists to try and pass on the right! Maybe it was worth the $725 to this guy to try and prove his point of view on speeding!

How long in seconds will it take going 60mph to travel 100 yds?
-Take what you know already:
100 yards = 300 feet
1 mile = 5280 feet
Traveling at 60mph means you will travel 1 mile in 1 minute, so given that, you travel 5280 feet in 1 minute.
Divide 5280 by 60 to determine how far you go in 1 second, which is 88 feet per second.
Now divide that by 300 feet (100 yards), and you get 3.41.
At 60 mph, you would travel 100 yards in 3.41 seconds.3.4 seconds

-I know everyone is different when it comes down to driving but I have a very good idea about how to drive.
My mum has given me a go in her car a few times and I got the clutch and gears sorted out pretty quickly. How many lessons do you think I would have to take?i have been driving for 45 years and have driven everything from a semi to a motorcycle and every day its a learning process but you should get the basics with in a month or so
Some people never learn to drive. Unfortunately most of them have a license. I see dozens of them on the road every day.
If you are really good then you could do it in about 10 lessons. But should your rate of progress not be too good then you can add any number of lessons on top of this.
its up to the tester dude(ette) the first lesson is normally free and they figure out how many lessons you'll need depending how good or bad you are...try not to think off gta while driving they dont like that you'll do fine
It doesn't depend on you or us, but how many lessons the Road Authority or whatever in your country has mandated you need to have before you can take your driving test.
usually 1 week 3 days and 18 hours
whatever the law says

Bus route from Slippery Rock, Pa to Butler, Pa?
-Does anyone know of any bus routes that go from Slippery Rock, Pa to Butler, Pa?
Should I take A limo To prom?
-If not what are some other creative ways? Thanksno lol, A. its very cliched, and B. your date will think your trying to impress her and get into her panties. Some women might spread em for it but your odds is that it won't increase your chances any. Just drive your normal car
I would take a full size charter bus! They rent for about the same size as a limo and think of all the friends you could ride with! What an entrance that would be!
Rent a freaking Ferrari and show up with style son!

In bus travel terminology what is "curb to curb" service?
-What is this exactly and how is it different than regular service?Curb to curb means they will pick you up and drop you off where you tell them to.
In regular service, the bus goes along a fixed route, so you may have to walk to the bus stop.
They'll pick you up at one address and deliver you to another. No bus stop. This is usually the way the old peoples or handicapped buses do it. curb to curb.

http://maps.google.com.br/From Fairview go to Q.ave MRT station. go down at Buendia station. at outside Buendia station. beside jolibee there is a jeep there. regardless of the sign. the jeeps there will pass where your going. ride the jeep and tell the driver to bring you down at FEU Makati (former Zuellig Building). Salcedo Street is accross FEU makati. so when you go down the jeep you have to cross the street on the other side of the road is the corner of Salcedo Street. =)

I need better fuel mileage?
-have a semi- 2003 freightliner columbia condo 430 60 series detroit, 10 speed direct ex wal-mart.
would like more than 6.2 average miles to the gallon. any advice ?Depends a lot on your usage too. Keep up with maintenance, blow off the air filter at least once a month, replace when needed. Alignment is critical to avoid unneeded friction. Tire pressure for proper load bearing avoids friction also, try 105 steer, 100 others if you aren't there.
Driving habits are the other thing. Look far down the road to anticipate what is coming and plan. Don't run up to red lights or slow downs, coast in. Long, slow smooth acceleration is better than gunning up the rpm, and most of all, avoid idling. While unloading on pretty days, set your fold out lawn chair in the shade and read a book. Park facing the east in cold weather, the morning sun will help warm the truck instead of cranking it, park facing east in summer so the interior cools off quicker. After pulling up after fueling, kill it again just in case you bump into a friend or get stuck in line.
You have a Freightshaker and need a key to lock the door. The rest of us need a lanyard with a spare key around our necks.
Regular servicing, Make sure wheels are aligned etc, Drive sensibly. Inflate tires to the right PSI, Dont accelerate and brake harshly, Try to predict the road ahead. With sensible driving, I.e. trying to predict the road ahead and careful maintenance of the car it should improce. But not by much, Youre better going for a small engine diesel.
You might want to upgrade to a 2006 or 2007 model. My 2007 gets 6.3 mpg when going downhill. The fuel savings is incredible. And, if you can find one with a Cummings, all the better.

At Interstate highway exit ramps you see people with signs?
-to donate them money because they are on hard times.Do you give them money.
Also in Florida I saw bums with windex and paper towels and they clean your windshield and expect a tip, have you seen that?I used to take the same off ramp on the way home for 5 years about 16-20 years ago. At the top of the ramp, where the cars stopped for the light, I would often see a woman limping along the line of cars asking for money.
At first I felt sorry for her, but then I did the math. On average, every other time I went through the same intersection, someone would give her a dollar, sometimes more. The light would turn red every 2 minutes, so I estimated that she was getting about $15 per hour, tax free, which for early 1990s wasn't too bad. That's why she was there only when the weather was nice, never in the rain, or snow, or when it was too cold.
And here's the funny part, some days she had the limp on her left leg, some days on the right.
Do not give these persons money. Many standing around collect more than you earn, tax free. There are government and church agencies whose mission it is to help those in need, many of those with their signs either have no need or won't cooperate with the requirements, such as don't spend it on booze.
Yes, I've seen both situations.
No, I do not stop/donate.
If they have that much time to spend at the curb, then they have enough time to find legitimate work.
It may be minimum wage at first, but the bottom rung is always a great launch pad.
drive up the road and back, you may see a lonely car parked out by itself.2nd to last exit before ok toll road on i44 in joplin, drive north, look west just north of the onramp for westbound traffic.i wanna say across from loves.thats where they park around here.
Yup, Ive seen them, And no I dont stop, It is illegal for people to be walking on the highway in the first place, And illegal to stop on one unless for an accident or slow moving traffic etc.
Save your money and don't give to these people. Most of them make more than you do.

Driving from Indiana to New Hampshire?
-I have found different calculations for the time distance for the same route - I-70 from Indy to Columbus then I-71/I-271 up to I-90 thru New York and then on:
Bing.com shows 953.7 miles in 14 hours and 14 minutes
Google.com shows 954 miles in 17 hours and 28 minutes
Yahoo.com shows 955.98 miles in 16 hours and 16 minutes
Mapquest shows 958/73 miles in 16 hours and 40 minutes
Which one do you think is most reliable?Bing's got you driving at 67 MPH, the others are around 55-59 MPH (assuming no rest or fuel stops - unreasonable).
I'd toss the "outlier" (Bing), pick the middle of the three remaining (Yahoo), and add at least two hours for meal and fuel stops, assuming that you plan to drive straight through (long day, or two drivers).

Petrol station question?
-i was at the petrol station yesterday getting diesel, i was behind a lorry who pulled away so up i went to get diesel in my car, the numbers were getting near 拢10 when i tried to stop the diesel (拢10 is all the money i have in the world) i motioned to the assistant there was a problem she didn't stop the pump, instead she walked out and it was then we realised there was a 2p stuck in the nozzle to hold the lever. if i'd taken the nozzle out of the car there would have been diesel everywhere, all over the car, the forecourt and myself. altogether it came to 拢40.50 and i have to pay the extra 拢30 which i don't think is fair as it wasn't my fault it was jammed. does anyone have any advice as to what i should do? i spoke to the manager who said i have to pay at some point (he's also my boss, i work in the supermarket), although he was sympathetic he pointed the blame at me even though it wasn't my fault someone had jammed the damn thing.. any help please??Sounds like you have a reasonable boss. He is not forcing you to pay on the spot. At some point you would be putting more fuel in your car, so it is not going to waste. Since it seems that you are on a tight budget, you should ask your boss to let you pay on a schedule similar to your average fuel usage. So lets say you average 拢10 a week on fuel. Arrange to pay him 拢10 a week for the next three weeks. I think they will understand and agree to such an arrangement.
the nozzle should have a clip thing for lorry drivers so they don't have to stand with there their hand on nozzle but for some reason the garages always remove these .when tank is full it will shut off the pump .i think its the fault of the garage for removing the clip and making the lorry driver use a coin .then again lorry driver should of removed said coin
The fuel went into your vehicle, it belongs to you. Your boss is being reasonable, and you just won't have to fill again soon.
if it were joe soap ( member of public) the argument would go that they will refuse to pay.. ergo the Fuel ( even though was a mistake) has to be paid for or returned. answer will be t o suck fuel back out or get payment for.
a lot of larger supermarkets etc often absorb losses over mistakes on pricing. this however come sunder a different category as fuel duty has to be paid etc and it isn't a mistake on pricing.
ideal solution would be for a meeting half way ,compromise at paying for half the fuel . since you work there this option won't be given to you . and I would simply ask for time to pay as it clearly was not your fault.

Why is it faster to travel from?
-1. Indianapolis to Buffalo to Albany then to Greenfield, NH
than it is from
2. Indianapolis to New York City to Albany then to Greenfield, NHThere's a lot of heavy traffic congestion in and around New York City, especially around where I-80 ends at I-95, going across the George Washington Bridge, and along I-95/Cross Bronx Expressway. That short segment, probably no more than 10 miles long, can add an hour or hour to your trip, it's that congested.

Should I get a Civic or Corolla?
-Pretty soon I am going to have to get my driver's license. I want a fuel efficient vehicle and I have narrowed it down to either the Honda Civic or the Toyota Corolla. Which one would be the best decision?I would go with a civic. This is really your decision on which way to go. The one plus of the civic is it comes in a hybrid version. The corolla beats it in mpg on a highway though. A website that directly compares them is http://www.truedelta.com/comparisons101/鈥?/a> Hope this helps!
It's personal preference. Both vehicles are considered reliable, fuel efficient, and practical. Which do you like the styling of better? Which can you get a better deal on? Drive both and see which you like more. Different cars "feel" slightly different and you may prefer one over the other. I do not agree that the Corolla is "easier" to maintain than a Civic. They are equal. My 1998 Civic has been very low maintenance for the past 6 years. Other than normal items like tires, oil, wipers, etc, the only thing I've had to change out was my muffler and mid-pipe about 2 years ago because they rusted due to all the salt we get in the winter on the road. For a 10 year old car, not bad! Nothing major has been replaced on the 2004 Civic yet. It's in tip top shape :-) Good luck making a decision. I think you'll be happy with either. :-)
in terms of fuel efficiency corolla is better than the civic. and the corolla is easy to maintain than a civic.
I like both!
I currently have a 03 civic
5SP stick.
I had put after market HID's that are brighter than OEM ones (And Road Leagel)

Does Enterprise have a mileage limit?
-My truck was rear ended a week ago. My insurance company (Progressive, if it matters) covered the cost of the repairs and the price of a rental car to use for 2-3 days. My question is, if there is a limit on the mileage? My Mom is saying the limit is 30 miles with a price of $4 per extra mile, but I think that is a ridiculous lie. How can they expect me to get to and from school and work for 3 days, and only go 30 miles?
If anyone has previous experience, or works in the car rental field, I would greatly appreciate an answer, because if my mom is right, I will owe Enterprise approximately $400 tomorrow.Beats me why people simply cannot phone up the company and ask rather than spending time posting on a worldwide Internet forum
If you're looking at car hire I'd recommend Lynx Car Hire.

How Much Would A Taxi Cost?
-My car has broken down and I have a really important interview on Friday. The distance I have to travel is roughly 30 miles to get to the interview. How much would a taxi cost to get there?
Thanks.Rates vary by location, might want to call your area cab company and ask them. Don't forget to double it for the return trip.
Check also with local car rental companies, might be able to get use of a car for about the same. Take advantage of this to get your grocery shopping done on the way back from the interview. Good luck.
Why not pick up a phone and call the nearest private hire taxi company from your yellow pages or on yell.com and get a definite price rather than guesses. You need to get home as well of course so you need to double it and ask about how much they would charge in waiting time OR get a price from a firm nearer to your interview. Go on phone them - they won't bite you!
hello there a back taxi in london well cost you around 拢40 to 80 each way marbe more as there go on the clock a Mini cab you are looking 30 to 60 each way but the best idea is to phone around first
拢80 to 拢160 bout ways
well in my town the starting rate for a cab is 拢3:00 and it goes up every 1/4 mile by 20p but it'll depend on speed and traffic, cabs always go slower. i'd say 拢45:00 atleast it cost me 拢26:00 to travel 16 miles xx
How on earth are we supposed to know? You haven't even told us what country you live in, never mind what area!
Here's an idea, why not phone a taxi company local to you and ask them, that way you'll have your answer.
Ring around a few and they will be able to tell you the exact price it will cost. Don't forget to tell them you need picking up after as well.
2拢 a mile = 60
+ if they charge extra for out town too idk
best to ring up and get Quotes from companys now
it would be cheaper to try & get there by public transport .the taxi fare also can be different from firm to firm
Why not just give the cab company a call and ask them for the approximate price?
Ever thought of using public transport?

Do you ever get mad when everybody passes you on a highway?
-I mean yea some people have urgent things to do, but
it gets to when im doing the limit and everybody passes me.
Immature driving is what im thinking by my part
maybe i just need to grow upIt's always frustrating when you are doing the right thing and everyone else is breaking the law.
Be aware that some cops will give you a ticket if you are impeding the flow of traffic. Try your best to keep up with the safe flow of traffic.
I just ride along and grin. At my slower pace, I am more relaxed and enjoying the scenery while saving fuel which keeps more money in my pocket.
Speed on stupid people! Don't know if you need to grow up, just chill maybe.
Seems rather immature to be worrying about it. You're doing the limit and that's all that matters.
it bothers me too, and sometimes if theyre going way too fast, ill catch up, go in front of themn and brake check em

How much money would it cost to drive 268 miles in a car that gets 15mpg.?
-its full tank holds 20 gallonsIf you know what the gas costs per gallon, you can figure it out easily. OK...you have all the bases covered, now do the math. Divide the MPG into the miles traveled to get the gallons used and then multiply by the fuel price.
I'll tell you how to figure it out on your own, but I won't actually tell you how much it'll cost. Divide how many miles the trip is by MPG, and that'll be how many gallons of gas you'll use. Multiply that by cost per gallon.
what you drive ?? a petrol army tank ?
15mpg are you sure you got it right
how much does gas cost

-and by modded i mean an rb20 engine and all. as for the camaro its the best possible oneidk how fast the 240 with that engine is and the 2010 camaros 0-60 is 3.7 sec. and its Quarter Mile is 11.6 the 2011 wont be much different so time the 240
That is kinda like asking a 41 year old man foot race a 20 year old man...
depends on the driver. depedns on the mods.

What day and time usually has the least traffic on the interstates?
-About two o'clock in the morningLate Saturday/Early Sunday, around 2am.
What if i was caught doing 70mph in a 60 limit?
-That wasn't a speed camera - it was an FII camera - basically scanning registration numbers for people without tax, insurance or a valid MOT.
Don't worry - you won't get a ticket. Trust me.
:^)you would get a 拢60 fixed fine, and 3 points on your licence.
what you saw on someone elses car was either a camera (as most taxi's have to have them inside the car) a radar scanner that detects police speed traps or camera's or some other device.
speed checking is not checked in that manner, it will either be from a fixed camera, or a speed gun held by someone.
Edit_
if you were being followed by an unmarked police car, the dash cam would have captured everything, including the police cars speed. but not sure if it would have captured your estimated speed which is sometimes recorded on them.
Do you really have to ask this question. Surely everybody knows that speeding is a traffic offence and if you are caught you can be fined and have penalty points added to your licence. When you get to 12 points or above you may be banned from driving. Your insurance cost will increase because you will be considered more of a risk to the insurance companies.
no it was probably their sat nav, and just cos a cop car is there dosen't mean they may always be doing speed checks and if they have no proof you were speeding they can't do you for it
it might just be more of an ANPR operation (catching criminals, people uninsured etc) or looking out for a pacific car that's come to police attention or anything like that
however the worse for doing 70 in a 60 would be the standard 3 points+拢60 fine but you might even not been clocked as most speedos read slightly higher than the actual speed your doing and they most the time allow a threshold (10%+2 meaning a minimum of 68 to trigger) so I wouldn't worry too much
Yes it could. Best result 拢60 and 3 points if you elect to cough up. take it to court and the fine will double plus costs and victim support.
Try doing 60mph in a 70 zone it's much cheaper and not half as worrying.
if it had of been it would need to be signed that speed cameras are in that area .....and if it had been a cop there would have been another one up road to stop you
You'd be unlucky to get done for 70 in a 60, especially since while your speedo might have said 70, they tend to over-read and it's more likely you were doing about 65.
If the car wasnt a good one,it probably wasn,t the police they like expensive ones paid for by the speeding tickets.
Were you stopped? I doubt that anything will happen to you. They were probably looking for criminals.
If you don't want to pay the fine, don't do the crime
You would receive a 拢60 fine and 3 points on your licence.
