What would be some reasons Buses/ Trains/ Transit would use automated announcements?

-what are the benefits?as per the American disabilty act all drivers are required to call out bus stops

now since many drivver dont or cant

they use automatic voice announcements
So they are all the same and nothing gets left out on accident
