Is commuting to school for 4 months for 1hr 45mins. too much?

-I want to travel my last semester of college from home. It's about 1 hr and 45 minutes one way. My earliest class is at 9 so in theory i dont have to leave much before 7 which isnt too bad. My sister gets up at 3am for about the same commute time. I know the drive will get old fast but i have relatives about an hour away from the college if all else fails. I figure for four months in the grand scheme of things its not too bad. PS. the commute is pretty much all county backroads/ rural driving except for maybe the last 10 miles. Thanks for any input.Figure your gas costs by figuring how many miles you are talking about over the period. Divide that by your current mpg to get gallons you will need, and multiply by $3.50 as gas prices will go up. Take that mileage again, and divide by 4000, then multiply that by $60 for your oil changes. Add these two, plus $400 for a set of tires. Write the total, and keep in mind this is only a rough number.

Now, can you get closer quarters for anything near that amount? May be cheaper to just live there and sleep in.
So, how much will you be spending on gas. I'll say $400 a month. It also does not account 2 hour a day that you could be studying or working. That's could be worth another $400 a month. And the fact that you'll get to class tired from the commute.

I rather find an apartment or roommates and enjoy campus life.
Atleast you have an option. My parents wont let me dorm so im stuck commuting 2 hours a way to get to my stupid university....i hate it....i have a 5am to 11pm day....it sucksssssssssssssss....

but i worked way too hard to get into this school....

it just sucks hearing about all da fun the dormers r having while im suffering...
get yourself an r.v and live nearby
