Is 500 mi for a 15 gal tank normal?

-so i have a 15 gallon tank, my car is an 11 yr old toyota camry

i just got her [was my older sisters] and am trying to figure out the mpg. i think i get 500 mi before hitting empty. is this good/bad/normal?I wish I could get 500 miles on a tank!

Figure your mileage by filling the tank until the nozzle shuts off and record the odometer (mileage) reading. Drive a couple days, and when it reaches about half, fill it again and again record the odometer. Subtract to get the miles traveled, divide by the gallons added, and you have miles per gallon.

Note, it is best to fill your tank on the low speed pump nozzle setting to avoid adding unneeded air into the fuel. As this air comes out, you have less fuel. Also, try to fill in the morning as most pumps in the US are not temperature adjusted and fuel is denser when cold. As it warms and expands, you get the benefit.
it's about 33.3 miles per gallon. that's pretty good if you ask me!!

btw, the mpg is just the miles divided by the amount of gallons.

500/15= 33.3 mpg
its perfect 500 miles 15 gallons you save alots.1200 miles might 30gallons
