-That depends on two things: The price of gas, your gas milage. For me, I have a 15 gallon tank and get about 27 miles per gallon. Divide 450 by 27 and you get: 16 2/3 gallons. Multiply that by the price of gas in your area (round average price). My area; $2.87 and I'm looking at about $47.84 for the trip.
Your prices and milage will vary.In 2005 the average MPG for a typical US vehicle is 20 MPG. Traveling 450 miles with an average 20 MPG, you will have to fill up twice 450mi/20mpg = 22.5 gallons. At an average of $3.09 gas price per gallon in the US.; filling up twice will cost you = $69.53 cents rounding up....
This also all depends on highway/city driving and terrain.... I'm thinking your vehicle has better than 20mpg on an average, probably closer to 26 - 30MPG (2011 standards).
At current U.S. gas prices, if your car gets 15mpg it will cost you about $100 in fuel to go 450 miles. If your car gets 30mpg it will cost around $50 in fuel to go 450 miles. If your car gets 22.5mpg it will cost $75 in fuel to go 450 miles...etc. You get the idea.
Without any specifics listed about your car you'll have to plug in your car's fuel economy into the above examples to get an idea.
It will help if you tell us what model and year of car you're driving and where you're driving it (gas prices in southern NY State can be very different than in the suburbs of Oklahoma City). Or better yet, just tell us your car's mpg.
